Desktop Design
0.5 credit- Grades 9, 10, 11, 12
(1 period per day for 1 semester) Fee: $20
Desktop Design allows students to use the principles of graphic design to produce printed materials by combining elements of text, symbols and pictures. Students will learn how to create images that brand companies, sell products, and influence ideas. The emphasis of the course is to equip students with basic skills for using desktop applications and other technologies for final production of artwork. Students will integrate self-designed graphics into printed materials including but not limited to brochures, posters, magazines, business cards, logos, and menus.
